Granito bianco Montorfano

Homogeneous medium to coarse-grained granite; the light colour is due to the white colour of feldspars and to the minor abundance of biotite. Mineralogical composition: plagioclase (oligoclase), quartz, K-feldspar, biotite, ± hornblende; apatite, zircon, allanite are the accessory minerals.
